    That is all.

Edit: (That was not all )

Check out this (Google) translation of the event description for MZD speaking at a museum in Cologne, Germany on September 30th. Linked (to the German) through his twitter:

The question of mankind's dilemma "space" is addressed in the nomenclature of the natural, more precisely, by means of positioning of the animal as partners, adversaries, anecdote, lecturer, screen, allegory, alternate vessel, Guardian, difference, the indifferent, necessity, Prisoner , deity, unthinkably cipher, and finally as the human. It follows, of course, a wide range of topics, from the emotional topography of fear and hope on self-made surfaces of denial to nudity, Pelzfetischismus, mechanized support - but also medieval bestiaries, zoos, the pet industry (not to mention visual image idylls, animal photography and funny creatures on youtube). Attentive glances fall on thinkers such as Walton Ford, Giorgio Agamben, Valentino Braitenberg, Temple Grandin and perhaps Cesar Milan. Whether it actually Danielewski manages to pull all this together into a whole coherent field remains to be unclear. must Especially since this whole thing of course, include topics such as synthetic intelligence, speculative fiction and the architecture of fate. But he will have by the end of the presentation may be made clear why - with a consideration of the human space-dilemma among animal aspect - the nature of necessity now come to an end. Perhaps it is all this but even as a pompous excuse to talk about his cat.
Mark Z. Danielewski (born 1966) is an American writer and thinker, especially with his cult novel " of Leaves" has come to international fame.

Man. I'm totally impressed. This place is like C.I.A headquarters. Wouldn't it be cool if Mark Z. Danielewski was an anagram for Thomas Pynchon?

      Excuse me a moment.

Sorry. Just about to have a heart attack from chest palpitations.

I'm heroically smoking myself to death.

I suppose what I love about this place is I'm a glutton for punishment.

But yeah, so my album (should I survive) is going to be recorded soon. I already feel like a living legend.

Bret Easton Ellis has evidently been in contact then? Tell him Big Hugs from me.
      (He'll know what I mean...)

Strangely this has coincided with conversations I have recently had regarding cats as s.

Looks like it's time to start reading too much into things again.

          Decent.

            I JUST PEED MYSELF!
My roommate and I just read that post (at FIVE IN THE MORNING, MIND YOU, BECAUSE WE HAVE SUCH IMPORTANT LIVES) and she hugged me and said, "I AM READY."
Probably the best words to say when finding about a new MZD novel.

            WE ARE READY.

"publishers," plural? Does this mean he's still looking for a publisher (singular) yet?

I don't remember if he worn a cat t-shirt when he went in Centre Pompidou in Paris last year, but he talked about his cat and showed photos...

I was curious about the tshirts as well, but I suppose that is the name of the game. Also, why volumes?

Is it a novel though? It's been called a "book" and a "project," but not a novel.

How long will we have to wait? It'd be at least a year, going off last time. Does anyone think there'll be ARCs this time around?

                              And wait, what cat t-shirts?
Isn't it obvious? Each "volume" is written on a cat t-shirt, where "cat t-shirt"="hand-knitted woollen jumper with a cat on the front." How else can an author make money in the brave new world of unprotected copyright?

Or it could have something to do with all the T-shirts cats in LA are suddenly wearing.
