Damn... People around here have good taste in music!

A couple more I thought of:
            System of a Down
            The Mars Volta
Pat Boone (at the rodeo! )

EDIT: And I see Cat Power has a Madrid show while I'm in Spain... I'm gonna have to talk to the boyfriend and see if I can get to that show.

I couldn't possibly list (or even remember) all the shows I've been to, but here's a sampling of the past year or so:

                Akron/Family
                Lambchop
                Sun Kil Moon
                Tortoise
                Lucinda Williams
                The Flaming Lips
                Ween
                Umphrey's McGee
                My Morning Jacket
                Gillian Welch
                Liars

...and all their respective openers, a bunch of local bands, some friends' bands, etc. Living in the SF Bay Area has its perks.

I think I was born at Woodstock.

But that might have been someone else.

Conor and his band of emo cry-babies will be here in a couple of weeks. Everyone's all a-twitter.

But I'm more interested in the symphony's "The Music of Pink Floyd" in May--featuring a "complete rock band". That should really kill - and it will be cheaper than Roger Waters. And better.

Ted Neeley and company coming, in June, I think. I really should go to that. Tickets will be outrageous.

Saw a great production of Coppélia a couple of weeks ago. I know - but I'm a sucker for classics. And Beethoven's Ninth for the season closer - full choir. Yeah, I'm gettin' soft.

I guess I'm more interested in what's coming, rather than what's been.

I will say I enjoyed an REM show in a small bar in Nashville when they were still a Georgia club band. Got to join Stipey on stage for a song or two - we did "Gloria" (G-L-O-R-I-A). That's my big brush with fame.

mars, why don't you just make the best list you can and edit or add later?

                        Like this:
                        Pet Shop Boys

mod, you should definitely go see Ted Neeley, because I missed him and somebody has to tell me how bad I missed out.
