"Not allowed to link yet"

I've seen a few of the new members mention not being "allowed" to provide links in their posts yet.

Is that for real? I don't recall having any such restrictions in my early days. Of course, I was much younger then, and brash I was. Just a brash kid really.

Also, I was just wondering if Nik still works here.

Yeah, we keep getting spambots posting to the T50YS forum with links to spam sites. They join, then post new threads. If they cannot post links, they either don't post or just post meaningless strings of words.

nikhsub1 instigated this over the summer.
