Just finished the section about "This is not for you." The author does a pretty decent job of fleshing out all the possible connotations of interpretation that could be applied to the sentence and the possible influences it could have on the reader. Except for the font and what it invokes. "This is not for you." is handled completely from one side, from the side of the reader first opening the novel but the author doesn't ever look back and never discusses what the sentence might mean after the reader has delved further into of Leaves.

Ugh. I've finished the section on of Leaves. So far this book is very disappointing. There is very little interpretation of HoL. The authors mainly center around the various mechanisms MZD uses and even those delvings are surface level at best.

Any more thoughts hb? I've been considering the purchase for a while. (The alternative trying to convince the uni library it's a necessary textbook for a physics grad student...)

I'd actually be pretty interested in a rigorous analysis of the literary mechanisms in HoL, but if they are indeed,

Greetings Funes. Haven't really had time since the semester started to read more. Will post more once I do though.

heartbreak, such things are expected when an avid forum user such as yourself reads that section. Interpretation of HoL alone would encompass a lengthy novel or several volumes.
Do you have any special writing rituals?
