hey, i just joined this group, but look through it alot, i dont know if there are any rules but im sure this is not how i should go abouts posting something, so feel free to nag me about it. but anyways, id like to share a media collage/trailer of house of leaves, and if anyone has anything interesting to share or any comments/criticism feel free to tell me!

It is a series of images altered by digital video manipulation software with mixes from Poe's Haunted.

The only thing I liked about it was the Karen/Navy shots.

All the sounds on top of each other and the never changing duration of the flashing images drove me insane.

So I just wanted to clarify some things, no nothing in this was original, the pictures are all on the internet somewhere, and the music is by Poe alongside other websites. I apologize if it actually gave you a headache, and yes it could have been shorter indefinitely. I made it with the concept of the Blair witch in mind, so that’s why its like the ring video I guess. and I also didn’t like fat Navidson, which is why I tried to create something with the limited resources I have. I didn’t create anything original because I simply do not have the means to hence the reason for the pictures and the audio. Also the never changing transitions was simply laziness since, originally it was supposed to vary.

Having limited resources and working with what's available is absolutely fine — laziness, on the other hand, is not. I know my comment up there was somewhat curt, but my main criticism of your piece was that each image was given the same treatment. If you had varied it a little (but not too much: don't want it to look like a PowerPoint presentation) it would have been much more interesting.
