    Ordering Casa di Foglie

The Italian 1st edition of of Leaves is now available from www.bol.it. The downside for Foreign Country fans is that shipping is REALLY expensive. More than double the price of the book!

    Here's the ordering information:

    The page is here.

It will ask you to enter some information about yourself:

    Email/Username
    Password
    Confirm Password

    Secret Question
    Answer to Secret Question
    Last Name
    First Name
    Male or Female
    Birthdate (MM/DD/YYYY)
Province (For Foreign Country select ESTERO)
    Email address

If you object to them using your personal information, say so at the bottom radio buttons and then click inoltra to continue.

    Next pages:
    Email
    Titolo (Title)
    Nome (First Name)
    Cognome (Last Name)
    Indirizzo (Street Address)
    N. civico (Street Number)
    Codice Postale (Zip Code)
    Citta/Localita (City)
Provincia (Province) (Choose ESTERO for a Foreign Country)
    Paese (Country)
    Provincia estera (Canadian Province/USA STate)
Partita Iva (??? not required though!)
    Telefono (Telephone Number)

    Then there are two checkboxes,
the first is asking the website to remember the address information you just provided. The second is to add an additional shipping address if you have a different shipping address from the billing address that you just provided.

    Next page is shipping confirmation.

It auto-selects shipping. Shipping to the US is rather expensive!

Next page is credit card again.
Carta di credito (Credit Card Type)
Numero carta di credito (Credit Card Number)
Data di scadenza (mm/aaaa) (Expiration Month/Year)
and a checkbox to memorize the card information.

    Order confirmation page:
    Click Inoltra l'ordine to order.
    Click Cancella to cancel.

Happy ordering... I can't afford this one right now due to some T50YS orders I just made.

I will be in Italy next week. Can anyone recommend a good bookstore in Rome, Venice, or Milan that I might pick up a copy of Casa di foglie?

Allso if you are interested and in the area that I will be, it would be cool to meet some of you. Drop me a note if you are interested.

All I can say is, don't bank on finding a decent bookshop in Venice, at least not in the old town. If I remember correctly, there's one on the way to Campo Sta. Margherita (where all the student bars are) coming from the Accademia bridge, but it's not exactly large. [edit: follow the yellow brick road, two across, one down, of the whole squares, near Campo S. Barnaba] You might find one in Mestre, but I wouldn't recommend spending too much time there, as it's a bit of a dump.

In Milan, on the other hand, I can't remember exactly where, but I know for a fact that there is a large bookshop (several in fact), which is likely to have a copy.

Thanks fearful, I did manage to find a list of book stores in Rome. So I'll keep my eyes open, there and Milan.

If you do go to Campo Santa Margherita, make sure to go into the 'Capo Horn' and order a 'spritz all'aperol' or seven. They're a sort of Venetian speciality; dead cheap and come with the biggest olives known to man. Plus the barman's a nice chap.

    Buon divertimento.
