Hi!
I found an Anglosaxon dictionary in one of our many book cases and decided to give the anglosaxon in the Whalestoe letters a try. Most of the words can have different meanings so it's hard to translate, but a possible version of the first fragment (p. 595) is:
The fear of God is great, for he changes the land of the sea.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I don't think P or MZD just made it up themselves...
