The rumor is that Mark wants to expand on the Pelican Poems.
[It may have been Pelican something else, I don't remember]

It seems as though the book leaves you wanting a sequel, but at the same time, I hope there isn't one.

I don't really want or need any more information, let the puzzle remain undone and some of those damned pieces can stay under the couch or down in the air-conditioning vent.

As far as other books following this one like other studios followed the Matrix... you're damn right that'll happen. I don't know if anyone will be able to match the first, but I'm sure several will try.

Sintina's probably right here. Although we all want a little more plot-wize, we'll be better off taking Mark's brilliance from a new novel. Sequels are too cliched anyway, and we got just about everything we needed from House of Leaves. The things that we're left wondering about make it better in the big picture. images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

But wouldn't it be nice if Mark used the format to make another book about other Familys that have lived in the house and what happen to them?

The question whould be though how would we find out about it.... Navidson used Hi-8's around the house so that is why we can follow their adventures.

What about a book on Zampano's life? that ought to be interesting...

But like you said there WILL be many to follow the style of writing (formed text...reversed text ect) and NO ONE can ever match House of Leaves...
