[Quirk]

i know im ging to get killed for posting this, but here goes....

i have exhausted the search function concerning the morse code translation and found what should be all the clues necessary, however, my ignorance comes shining through. for the life of me i cannot figure it out. if someone could explain the distinction between short & long segments i would be forever grateful.

There are three different segments, and Johnny's shorts and longs are shorter than Zampano's. Try Johnny's passage that ends with him writing a string of "fucks." The morse code message you should get is simply "fuck." Once you get that to work than you should be able to figure out his other message, and then from there you can switch over to Zampano's.
