Pelafina

I'm not entirely sure how this is even possible, let alone how I did it, but I never found the name pelafina even once in HOL. Supposedly she's a big part of the story that you can't miss, but I never encountered her in the book. Is she a secret, or what? What's the deal?

You've encountered her, but they don't use her name very often. Take another look at the letter Johnny gets when his mother dies.

She's encoded in the third page of the introduction. Take the first letter from every word on that page, then take every third and fifth letter from that. If you did it right you will get a brief barb from Pelafina about the nature of the House.

Ahhhh, the whalestoe letters. I never finished those, I just kinda skipped them.
